Adds new programming to the City of Ventura ArtWalk
ArtWalk Passport
The will be printed in the Ventura County Reporter, and will list every ArtWalk location. When participants visit each location, they earn a stamp or sticker. When participants have 20 stamps in their ArtWalk Passports, they can then submit their information and be entered into a drawing for many prizes donated by local merchants. “We are hoping to heighten enthusiasm, both for the guests and the merchants,” explained DVO Promotions Chair Seana-Marie Weaver, owner of Ace-ana Promotions.
The DVO will also sponsor ArtWalk merchant awards.
Prizes will go to the:
1) Best Transformation
2) Best Presentation of Art
3) Most Unique Display
4) Most Creative Use of Inventory
5) Best Store Spirit.
The awards will be judged the day of the artwalk by community members.
Preparing for event Day:
- Posters and postcards are currently being delivered to businesses.
- ArtWalk guides will be available the first week of August and will be delivered by volunteers then along with numbers for the business window and artist name tags.
- Confirm art installation times with artist/merchant.
